This Data Protection Policy outlines the management of Personal Data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) in Singapore.
This policy seeks the understanding of the purposes for which Singapore Thai-Chi Society (STCS) collects, uses or discloses Personal Data. This policy states the agreement and consent given to STCS, its authorized service providers and relevant third parties on collecting, using, disclosing and/or sharing data.
STCS may update this Policy to ensure that it is consistent with any changes in legal or regulatory requirements. If any change is made, it will be published at its official website https://singthaichi.com.sg
- Personal Data
In this Policy, “Personal Data” refers to data, whether true/accurate or not, about a person who can be identified either (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which the society has or is likely to have access. Examples of such Personal Data include Full name, NRIC Number or FIN (Foreign Identification Number), Passport number, mobile telephone number, personal email address and any other information relating to the person that has been provided to the society in one form or another. - Collection of Personal Data
STCS may collect Personal Data that were voluntarily supplied to us in following ways:
a) Through an application to join the society as a trainee or as a member;
b) Through commercial agreement as a supplier or service provider to the society;
c) Through interactions with STCS for official purposes, e.g. external training, travelling;
d) When responding to a request for additional Personal Data, e.g. fulfilling bank payment request;
e) When Personal Data is submitted to the STCS for any other reasons. - Purposes for the Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Data
STCS may collect, use and disclose Personal Data for one of more of the following purposes:
a) Evaluative purposes or assessment of one’s requests;
b) Administration purposes;
c) Publicity and communication purposes;
d) Verification and update of identity and accuracy of personal details;
e) Conducting data analysis and producing statistics or reports related to STCS operations or events;
f) Managing and terminating trainee or membership;
g) Complying with or as required by any applicable law, governmental or regulatory requirements;
h) Complying with or as required by any request or direction from governmental authorities or their appointed agents or service providers;
i) Any other purposes which the society may notify party involved of at the time of obtaining consent. - Disclosure of Personal Data
Personal data may be disclosed to 3rd parties where necessary for the purposes stated above. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, such 3rd parties may include: (a) individuals whose personal data you have supplied, e.g. referees, next of kin; (b) any agents, or service providers engaged by STCS which are receiving Personal Data for the above purposes; (c) Government or regulatory authorises including their appointed agents or contractors. STCS will not disclose individual’s personal data to 3rd parties for purposes not stated above without first obtaining consent permission to do so. However, kindly note that STCS may disclose personal data to third parties without first obtaining consent in certain situations where such disclosure without your consent is permitted by PDPA or by law. - Administration and Management of Personal Data
STCS will take reasonable effort to ensure that individual personal data is accurate and complete. Individual must also update STCS of any changes in personal details initially provided. STCS will not be responsible for relying on inaccurate or incomplete personal data arising from one who did not update STCS of any changes.
STCS will also put in place reasonable security arrangements to ensure that personal data is adequately protected and secured. Appropriate security arrangements will be taken to prevent unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, leakage, loss, damage and/or alteration of personal data. However, it is aware that no method of transmission or storage is completely secured. While security cannot be guaranteed, STCS strive to protect the data and constantly reviewing and enhancing information security measure. STCS cannot assume responsibility for any unauthorised use of personal data by third parties which are wholly attributable to factors beyond STCS’s control.
STCS retain personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes, in accordance with legal, regulatory, business and operational obligations. When STCS cease retention, the personal data will be disposed of in an appropriate manner. - Withdrawal of Consent
Withdrawal of consent for the collection, use and/or disclosure of personal data in STCS’s possession may be made by telephone or by email to STCS at singthaichi@gmail.com
From such a request for withdrawal of consent being made, STCS will process the request and thereafter not collect, use and/or disclose requester’s personal data in the manner stated in the request. Please note that with the withdrawal of consent to any or all use or disclosure of personal data, STCS may not be in a position to continue to provide the services or administer any contractual relationship that is in place. Such withdrawal may also result in the termination of any agreement or relationship with STCS. Further, STCS are not obliged to delete personal data after withdrawal should there be a legal or operational purpose for retention, but STCS will limit any use or disclosure of that personal data strictly for such retention purpose only. STCS’s legal rights and remedies are expressly reserved in such a case. - Access and Correction of Personal Data
Request can be made to have access to or make corrections to Personal Data records, but STCS has the right to charge a reasonable fee for processing such a request. Such request can be by email to STCS at singthaichi@gmail.com. - Contacting Singapore Thai-Chi Society

h) 遵守或按照政府当局或其指定代理人或服务商的要求或指示;
i) 在事先获得同意的前提下, 与学会相关的其他需求。 - 个人信息透露

收到撤回许可的请求后,STCS 将处理该请求。此后不会按照请求中所述的方式收集、使用或透露请求者的个人数据。需注意的是,撤回对部分或全部个人数据使用或透露的许可后,STCS 可能无法继续提供服务或管理任何现有的关系。此类撤回也可能导致与 STCS 的任何协议或关系终止。此外,如果出于法律或本会运营目的而需要保留数据,STCS 没有义务在撤回后删除个人数据,但 STCS 将严格限制对该个人数据的任何使用或披露,而仅限于此类保留目的。在这种情况下,STCS 有权明确保留本会的合法权利和补救措施。 - 个人数据的查询和更正
